Mclendon signature is etched in right hand lower corner of the painting and is hard to see without flashlight. A rare estate find that will act elegance and Florida history to any decor.

"Caveat Emptor!". The painting does have a few spots of paint loss in the top left and bottom left corners. He passed away at the age of 71 on September 19, 2021 in Fort Pierce, Florida. Willie Brown Daniels was born on January 8, 1951 in Bainbridge, Georgia.

He fished at the Jupiter inlet daily and painted at night. Looking for unspoiled nature and quieter fishing spots, he moved to St Lucie in the late 80's and still fishes on a regular basis.

A fine example of Newton’s mature style. His works stand out for their rich palette, striking depiction of tropical light, and energetic palette knife technique. The artist’s signature appears at the bottom.

The product is a A E Bean Backus Lithograph titled "Glade Marsh" from the Baskus collection. This art print was produced in the year 2000 and is numbered 503 out of 1000.

The title of this exceptional historic Robert Butler (1943-2014) print is "Cane Grinding Season". Robert Butler, originally from small town Baxley, GA, grew up in Okeechobee, Florida in the storied Everglades region.

Avid collectors of these early works by the artists were happy to own the art and the artists enjoy the newly gained notoriety. Robert Butler’s art career began in Okeechobee Fl in 1963. All nine of his adult children carry on the art legacy.

I have found information on a Harold H High (b. 1936,) who once resided in Lithia, Florida, about an hour and a half drive from Brooksville. I believe this is likely the artist of this painting. The artistic style, color palette, and materials used in this piece have striking similarities with Sam Newton, Harold Newton, and Lem Newton, who may have worked closely with the artist of this piece.
